The information is verified prior to listing and regularly monitored for accuracy. The users of Achilles report regularly to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
GSS are proud to have qualified as Achilles Verified. Verification to Achilles Verify comprises of a demanding audit of our Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and their implementation. Performance is measured against established standards. Our scores in the three disciplines were Health and Safety 92%, Environment 86% and Quality 100%.
All GSS Workboats comply with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Code of Practice.
GSS is a member of the National Workboat Association (NWA).
The NWA was formed in 1994 to assist in the formulation of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Workboat Code of Practice.
The practical guidance and liaison between the parties proved mutually beneficial, each group gaining an understanding of the other’s viewpoint.
The co-operation continued as the Workboat Code of Practice developed and became law. Work continues to resolve anomalies and misinterpretations to produce a harmonised, workable Code of Practice.
